Students have the option to go to Axess to select their pronouns and their selection will show up in various areas in Canvas. If you do not see pronouns for certain students, it means they have not selected their pronouns.
In addition to where pronouns are visible to other students, instructors can see student pronouns in the following areas:
- When creating Differentiated Assignment, Quiz, and Discussion items
- Assignment Peer Review Page
- Course Sections List
- Quiz Results Page (Quiz Responses in SpeedGrader as well)
- Student Context Card
Instructors will continue to see student pronouns in the Roster Photos tool. Here is an updated guide to pronouns for instructional staff.
