Email addresses:
Students cannot see each other’s email addresses. However, they can send each other messages from the Canvas Inbox tool.
SUNet ID/Login ID:
Students cannot see each other's SUNet or Login ID. Instructors have access to that information.
Roster Photos:
Students cannot access the Roster Photos tool. If students say they can see photos of their classmates in Canvas, it is because Canvas users have the option to add a Canvas profile photo. These photos are separate from the Roster Photos photos, which are photos used on Stanford ID cards.
Grades:
Students will never see grades of other students, regardless of whether or not the Grades tool is hidden from the course navigation. Students can only see their own grades.
