Most Canvas course sites have 5GB of storage space in the Canvas Files tool. If a course relies heavily on videos or if video files are large, we recommend uploading videos to Panopto Course Videos. Panopto is available in most Canvas courses with the exception of some professional schools.
If needed, the Canvas Support team can increase the Files storage space on a case-by-case basis. If you are approaching your file storage limit, you can request an increase by emailing canvashelp@stanford.edu.
